How LOCKED works

What a Lock is

A Lock is something you have committed to. A subject, a target and a stretch of time: study 60 minutes a day for two weeks, gym four times a week, save $5,000.

Locks are the unit everything else hangs off. You create one, you work at it, and it either completes or it does not.

What a Receipt is

A Receipt is the proof you did the thing. A photo, a screenshot, a time, a distance, an amount.

Receipts attach to a Lock and build up over time into a record of what you actually did rather than what you said you would do.

What verified means

A Receipt that has been checked shows as verified. One you added without that check shows as self reported.

Both are real entries in your record. The label just tells anyone looking which is which, including you.

Who can see your profile

Profiles are friends only by default. Someone has to be a friend to see your Locks and your record.

Receipts are private by default. A Receipt stays yours until you choose to share it.

You can change both in Settings, and changing them later applies to what is already there.

Reporting and blocking

Open the profile, open the menu on it, and choose report or block.

Blocking is immediate and does not tell the other person. They stop seeing you and you stop seeing them.

Reporting sends it to us with the context attached. You can do both to the same person.
